Beech Mountain Resort
Beech Mountain Resort is not just for winter, but has fabulous activities and events in the summer.
For winter sports, Beech Mountain Resort is truly the only eastern US resort modeled after the western resorts, offers multiple eating and drinking facilities, resort village of shops and of course, skiing, snowboarding and tubing on the mountain during the winter, and biking in warmer seasons. It’s our favorite eastern US resort.
The Alpine Village offers ice skating, game room, coffee shop, retail store, ski repair and rental shop as well as a snack shop. Beech Mountain Brewing Co, The Tap House, the Lodge and 5506’ Skybar are open during the winter season. The Lodge and other establishments aren’t always open, so check directly with the estabishment to confirm.
An additional note...your hosts are showboard instructors at the resort. We are there only part time on the weekends, but we specialize in couples lessons including beginners through advanced riders.
Beech Mountain Resport - Summer Activities
Mile High Yoga
At Beech Mountain Resort, 5506', at the top of the mountain, every Saturday from June 2 through September 1, at 10:30 a.m., you can enjoy yoga at 5506' elevation.
The only way to get there is by lift or shuttle. You need to be at the Beech Mountain Resort Village to get your ticket at Beech Sports no later than 9:45 a.m. in order to get to the top of the mountain in time. Space is limited.
Summer Concert Series
Beginning at 2:30 p.m. through 5:30 p.m. at 5506' Skybar, there is a band almost every Saturday in the summer beginning June 2 this year. Check it out as well as the Yoga schedule at www.beechmountainresort.com/events.
Remember, a lift ride or shuttle ride is required to get to the Skybar. Love this place!!
