Check-In
A four-wheel drive vehicle or tire chains is required during winter stays. The town of Beech Mountain will give you a citation if you get stuck in the snow without.
Check-in is at 4:00 p.m. The entry to the home has a wireless keypad; your access code is the last six digits of your phone number. Our smart lock tells us when you check in and check out, so there is no need to go anywhere to pick up keys. Just show up, and the home will be waiting for you.

DIRTY DISHES
Load and run the dishwasher with all dirty dishes. Don’t leave dishes, flatware, pots and pans, etc. in the sink.
FOOD
Remove food from refrigerator, cabinets and food items in cabinets, on countertops, tables, and from all other rooms, decks, or porches and take it with you or dispose of it properly per the trash instructions below. Unopened food will either be donated or left for future visitors.
TRASH
Place all trash in plastic bags and take it out to the trash bin located adjacent to the street, left of the plant bed left of the home (when viewing the home from the street). Make certain to cover the trash can with the top.
Secure the bin metal door and raise the red flag on the right side of the bin.
ELECTRICITY
Turn off exterior and interior lights and ceiling fans. Reset the thermostate to 55 degrees.
SECURITY
Lock all doors, sliders and windows.
YOUR STUFF
Check all drawers, closets, etc., for any personal items (there is a $45+ fee to return items).
OUR STUFF
Straighten and return furniture, accessories or other items that have been moved, back to its proper place.
CLEANING
Remove all sheets and pillow cases and place them in the hampers or laundry basket with the balance of soiled linens. Leave the home in good condition to avoid additional cleaning fee.
WINTER
During winter, open up the cabinet doors underneath the sinks and return outdoor furniture to its side. It is super important to return the thermostats to 55 degrees. A day of heat is expensive in the winter. A $50 fee will apply if thermostats aren’t returned to 55.
DEPARTURE
Please depart by 11:00 a.m. so we can prepare the home for our next guests.
